Why join Ireland Together?
Ireland together is a warm, supportive, very friendly, and caring platform which I have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of. I'd especially like to say a big big thank you to Peter Turley for entertaining and enlightening us every Friday with Pitch Perfect. Pitch Perfect was the highlight of my week and I'm going to miss it a lot! Thank you for brightening up our days.
Probably the best description of Ireland Together is a community workplace. It’s a great place just to have those open conversations you would have in an office space. You’ve created a great space - it’s growing and growing but retaining its ethos of bringing people together.
The real value for me over the last 8 months has been the connections, the people, the introductions. I love the coaching group - I think it's fantastic - the discussion that goes on around it is absolutely brilliant.
As a musician, I was really interested in learning business skills and to meet some people that might be interested in what I do, and to find out ways how I can run my life as a musician in a more efficient manner. I didn’t really know what it was going to be like, but it was such an amazing experience for me to join this group, and to meet other really positive people, and people with a really healthy outlook on life - so warm, and so generous. The community has shared some wonderful tips with me about life and how to manage your own career and keeping his own sense of identity going through this strange time.
It's been a fantastic support for people like myself during Covid. It’s just great to have a wealth of experience and that's available to tap into. I was very fortunate that I had a focus group for an app that I'm developing. I got some expert opinion back on that (which is far better than asking your yer mates!) - so valuable to have access to qualified experience.
There are so many people I'd like to thank - anyone I’ve asked for a bit of assistance has been very forthcoming and that is just fantastic, because in this day and age it really does bring everybody together and feel like you're part of the community.
It means the world to me to be part of Ireland Together and I'd love to extend a very warm thank you to the four ‘big cheeses’ - you've done tremendous work in terms of the network, the resources, the expertise, and the events that keep going from strength to strength. We have amazing people in our community, our tribe, and it really is a pleasure to belong to it.

Ireland Together is a brilliant manifestation of some of the best qualities and traits of the Irish people - I include people who have come here from other countries, and in doing so, have really enriched our society.
The Irish have always been known as a charitable people. I think we’re also a very entrepreneurial bunch, you can see that in not only in the community, but in the start up environment across the country. We also tend to respond well to a crisis - we don’t do self pity, we try to get stuck in, and we don’t tolerate egos. I think if you roll all of these qualities up - what you get is the best best of it in Ireland Together. It's a group of diverse people looking to share and help and support each other, and have a few laughs along the way.
It’s such a great community to be part of It feels like I’ve got an extended group of colleagues. I'm looking forward to continuing our collaboration together.
I started my business in March and having a like-minded community to connect with online, and sometimes offline, has been a real help as I’ve transitioned from corporate life. Networking hiking, coffee meetings, coaching sessions and even perfecting my pitch have been some of my highlights. Keep doing what you're doing.
Ireland Together means collaboration. A group of like minded people who are willing to help out fellow members whenever they need it. Having been involved for a number of months, I feel it is my go-to business network for help and advice for my business.
What a community - hasn’t it been great?! 8 months of madness, mayhem, fun..with good people. I've had a blast, I really have, it's been a really supportive bunch of people really enthusiastic. There’s a lot of help out there. I know there has been a lot that helped me along the way. I can only hope that I’ve helped some people in return as I’ve been going along.
It’s been an absolute blast it wouldn't have happened if you guys hadn’t to put it together. I am completely and utterly indebted to the four of you who put this together in the first place - what a hoot!

As a result of Ireland Together, I have literally made hundreds of new contacts and so many friends. I've learnt so much along the way technology-wise. It's prepared me mentally and emotionally to get through difficult times. The working groups have been fantastic and so varied and diverse - if you need anything and you post something in one of the Slack channels you get a response in such a quick time! So thank you so much for allowing everyone to contribute, because I think that it’s important to feel like we can all contribute to this.
Thank you so much, for not just for setting this up, but for the ‘why’. I don’t think the platform could be as collaborative, it couldn’t be as open, it wouldn’t be as willing to help if you guys weren’t willing to set it up, and to allow it to take on its own life and its own energy. And to allow and encourage people to own the things that are there rather than you controlling everything so I think the why you set it up speaks volumes about the kind of people that I believe you are and you deserve our thanks for that and you deserve great credit for that - so thank you, thank you so much.
My motto is better together, together better, and I have to say that Ireland together has really lived up to this statement. It has been such a pleasure to join you in this community to really do things together, to be better.
Somewhere we can really see the power of a ‘give first’ attitude to networking. Amazing, thank you!

As the year draws to a close, you can look back on the enormous impact you’ve had on us all. The work that you’ve done this year, I think will resonate for many years to come - thank you guys so much!
Congratulations on a magnificent idea, wonderfully executed and sustaining clearly to the end of this year and I suspect a community that will sustain long after the global pandemic which gave cause to its origins.
I'm a freelancer/sole trader - at the best of times it can be an isolating scenario - in Covid even more so. As a new member, I gained greatly from Ireland together already and I hope to be able to contribute and offer my support and services to others in the coming year 2021 and beyond.
I’d like to thank Ireland Together very much for what they have done for us, and for me, this year. They have really allowed us to connect with each other despite the lockdowns and the pandemic, and to help us live better throughout this difficult moment. It really means a lot to me to be able to connect further with people in Ireland while being far away.
What does Ireland together mean to me? The word opportunity comes to mind - I think they just give a lot of people opportunity to meet new people. The community helps small businesses to grow, to have a bit of a laugh and encourages people to just have a good time. In a time like a pandemic, it's like a godsend having something like that!
